This place got its start thanks to a partnership between Jeff and Kimberly Swinger, the duo behind J&K Land Development, and Executive Chef Ted Grieb, who brought more than 30 years of restaurant know-how to the table. People around here already know Chef Grieb from Square Market and Zanata in downtown Rockwall—two spots with loyal followings of their own. When the city of Fate started booming, this team jumped at the chance to do something big. The local council approved a deal with J&K to help make it happen, and after breaking ground in March 2024, Sauce & Vine opened its doors to the city it was built for.
